He took the reins and covered her in my womb…

He took the reins and covered her in my womb.

How many of you are in the middle of carrying a baby on today? That baby may be in the form of flesh, ministry, or a project…any form of the birthing process. I had to birth multiple babies at one time.

On 17 years ago, I was carrying my rainbow baby and my baby in the womb was threatened by adversity. God bless me with another baby and six months into pregnancy… boom… adversity hit my front door.

How many of you are constantly facing adversity at the door? Have you gone through life on a roller coaster ride? Has life presented another blow or another thing that you have to triumph over? If you live long enough, life will be full of ebbs and flows, like and EKG, up one day and down the next. Here I am six and half months into pregnancy and adversity is at my door again. My womb felt threatened at that moment. All I wanted was to birth this baby girl. I fell to my knees and I prayed to GOD. GOD possessed the reins and he covered her from my womb.

He took the reins of adversity…he took the reins of my womb…he took the reins of birthing in the midst of adversity. He took the reins! Her birth brought me joy as she wiped away my tears in the midst of adversity. Her life gave me reassurance when I was weak. Her life quieted my spirit when I felt stirred. Her life helped ma take my eye off of trouble waiting in the wings.

Are you going through today? Are you in the birthing process?

Walk by faith and not by sight. Do not be afraid. GOD has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and of sound mind. That help comes in the form of a birthing.

As she prepares for the ministry 17 years later, I am reminded that he covered her from the wound. He possessed and took the reins from the wound.

Thank you @Kevonna. It is amazing how far GOD has brought me. The one constant in the journey, was fear. A few years ago, I was totally gripped by fear after all the adversity in life caught up with me. I am forever thankful that although I continue to jump hurdles, coping is not as difficult and my relationships with others have empowered to keep going in spite of.

He’s always faithful to take the reins. It’s amazing how when faced with what we feel is sooo bad and difficult, the peace of God comes in a calms us right in the midst. And the storm ends and we have to be told its over. Nothing beats being covered by God. Great read.
